In horror films this is used to present the point of view which places the audience firmly to the midst of the action. The shot displays the most details, but doesn't include the border scene.Close-up shots is used to display the weapon that the killer is carrying, this remotely shows the audience what they are going to use in order to kill the victim.

The close-up/ extreme close up shot is used to show the reaction of the character's in that specific part. This is the only type of shot where the audience are able to see the sentimate of the character's close-up and the captured emotion is essential in a horror movie as this establishes how terrified they are.

This shot is typically used to show the victim's surroundings. Normally in a horror movie the victim is being filmed in an isolated area alone, therefore by presenting the audience with the 360 degree shot. Were aware that the victim is surely alone. Although, the 360 degree shot is used from the victim's own perspective of them viewing their surroundings, breathing enhances suspense and tension.
6. High angle shot
This shot shows the vulnerability of the victim and appear powerless. The shot mainly used in scenes where strength balances need to be expressed and this is used to make the subject appear weak to the audience. From the audience's perspective of the subject, is that the audience feel more powerful than the character in the film; this also provides makes the scene more dramatic. This type of shot is used more in scenes where their children, and is stereotypical as children are classed as weaker and more powerless.

This shot is the complete opposite of the high angle which shows vulnerability and power from the character to the audience. However with low angle, this shows dominance of the character especially the killer towards the victim or the audience. Whilst the focus is being held with the killer, as an audience feel fascinated by what the killer is going to say or do, mostly with the weapon their holding.

This creates gore, therefore stabbing has to come into place to make this gore successful and create fear within the audience. In this scenario, the victim is on the floor making them look more powerless and presents us that the killer is more superior in the current scene. The fact of the matter is that crawling shows the audience that they have no exit due to the killer being very close to them and there is very limited probability of escaping is your crawling. The shot makes the scene more dramatic, and tense for the situation.

The power of suggestion is shown typically by someone being knifed, however the gore isn't essential shown, only the action of the stabbing. This decreases graphic imagery as it's not appropriate in some films with legal ratings such as below 15. Although, if the movie is rated 18 then strong nudity can be used, however movies below 15 rated much include gore to a minimal. Therefore, is someone is being stabbed only the action of the shot can be used, not the actual scene.
